We are a compassionate results-driven non-profit organization focused on improving the lives of children through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is the only proven, evidence based treatment for autism, and we experience the positive results of it every day! A diagnosis of autism will most certainly re-route any family’s journey through life. We at TUT are committed to making that journey as easy, happy and fulfilling as possible. What can you expect from The Uncommon Thread (TUT)?
- Compassion and Empathy: We have first hand experience and appreciation of the challenges of a family with a child with autism. We also understand the child and know that improvement can only be gained through love, nurturing, positivity, and commitment.
- Experience and Expertise: We’ve been successfully providing ABA services since 2007. TUT BCBAs and therapists have an incredible amount of expertise in ABA and are continually advancing their knowledge through our professional development opportunities. For every child there’s also multiple levels of oversight and guidance from our clinical directors and case managers.
- Progress: We consistently track the progress of each child on every one of their goals and their barriers to learning. This enables us to make adjustments along the way and better ensure positive results.
- Collaboration: We collaborate with parents, family members, physicians, and school districts. It takes a village to ensure the best outcomes of children with autism. We ensure everyone is on the same page and has the same goals in mind.
- Focused on Outcomes: TUT follows ABA principles. More than 20 studies have established that early and intensive therapy using ABA principles improves outcomes for many children with autism. These studies show gains in intellectual functioning, language development, daily living skills and social functioning.

Our mission is to help each child reach their greatest potential. TUT delivers ABA therapy and services in many therapeutic settings that accommodate all levels of children on the spectrum.
ASD affects children in different ways and with varying levels of severity. At TUT, we provide the environment and the expertise that match each child’s degree and needs. TUT offers opportunities to transition into more advanced environments and therapies such as classroom settings and general education settings with support. These opportunities ensure that each child makes continual progress and attains a higher level of functioning.
TUT is not a destination but rather a pathway to a more independent life. We provide ABA therapy and services in many settings such as our centers, in the home, in private preschools, public school districts and in the community. Our mission is to help our children reach their greatest potential and live their best lives.
