TUT’s Core Services:
Bridges PreK and Kindergarten Readiness Program
Comprehensive ABA Treatment
TUT’s Comprehensive ABA program is a program for children ages 1-5 years old. It focuses on the reduction of problem behaviors (barriers to learning) as well as increasing functional living skills. We teach learning and language skills and adaptive behaviors across multiple domains of communication, socialization, and daily living. This comprehensive approach will ultimately increase independence, communication, age‐appropriate social and learning skills as well as create strategies to help better cope with everyday challenges.
The program runs Monday – Friday, 5-7 hours per day. This program also includes parent ABA training in order to promote generalization and prepare parents for independent care upon discharge.
Focused ABA Treatment
Focused ABA is reserved for children who have been through our Comprehensive ABA program, and with an eye towards discharge. This involves the treatment of limited and/or specific behavior or behaviors. It typically requires a functional behavior assessment and a behavior support plan for each problem behavior.
Parent ABA Training
At TUT you’ll receive the training, support and encouragement to participate in your child’s program so that new skills become a part of everyday life. Parents and family members will learn the basics of ABA and practice strategies to further advance progress made with the therapist. As a parent or caregiver, you are an invaluable part of the team to unlock your child’s true potential! See BACB guidelines to parents & caregiver training page 37.
Bridges PreK and Kindergarten Readiness Program
Bridges Transitional program provides children with autism the opportunity to transition and follow a “typical” preschool model. Students learn and interact in small groups and participate in learning and social activities. Each student has a dedicated ABA therapist and all material is tailored to each child’s readiness level and individual learning style. The Bridges program is recommended for children who have made great strides in an intensive ABA program and are ready for learning and socialization in a group environment. The Bridges program is overseen by a Certified Teacher, the child’s ABA Therapist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). All children who are considered for the program are required to meet certain standard qualifications along with a recommendation from a BCBA. For children with autism, this program is a needed “bridge” that will certainly facilitate and ease the transition into a mainstream educational setting and a more independent life.
Inclusion Programs (Private Preschool, Daycares, Camps)
This service is designed to enable children to attend and participate in mainstream settings with the support of a 1:1 ABA therapist and oversight of a BCBA. There are many benefits to these inclusion settings including interaction with typically developing peers, a structured learning environment and convenience for families. See all the advantages here.
TUT has successfully partnered with dozens of Private Preschools, Daycares and Camps over the years however, therapy can take place at your choice—providing approval by all participating parties. See a list here.
