Every journey starts with a single step….
Let’s team up to unlock your child’s potential! Our caring staff is ready to talk to you about your child. We’ll discuss our ABA therapy program, review your options and provide you with guidance along the way. You are not alone. TUT is here to support you and answer any questions you may have, at no cost or commitment from you.
Step 1 – Speak to our Caring Team
Everything starts with scheduling a “Family Education Meeting” where we will get to know one another, review the steps to receiving the appropriate treatment your child needs, as well as provide you with an education on the ABA, the only proven therapy for autism. During this meeting we’d like to also give you a guided tour of our state-of-the-art ABA therapy centers, explaining what you can expect from a strong, early intervention ABA program.
Step 2 – Obtain Insurance Authorization
Our experienced team will work directly with your insurance carrier to review coverage for ABA as well as apply for the insurance authorization, should you decide to move forward with TUT. Your child should not experience delays in receiving time critical treatment due to the complexities of the insurance process.
Step 3 – Conduct an Initial Assessment
A TUT Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will evaluate your child’s behavioral, social and learning skills, as well as identify barriers that inhibit your child from learning and advancing.
Step 4 – Develop a Personalized Plan
The findings of the assessment will be the foundation of a personalized treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs. This plan is developed and overseen by the BCBA. We will review your child’s recommended treatment plan with you in detail and will meet regularly to maintain communication and collaboration. Parents are an invaluable part of the plan as your child’s goals need to be achieved in both a therapeutic setting as well as “real-life” settings.
Step 5 – Begin Individualized ABA Therapy
We follow the treatment plan, whether it be in your home, in our center, private preschool, daycare or in the community. The appropriate therapeutic setting depends largely on the need of the individual child as well as each family’s divergent circumstances such as logistics or financial issues.
Step 6 – Receive Parent Training & Education
TUT has a family-centered/ team approach to treatment. TUT provides in-person ABA Parent Training, online parent training, and constant support and communication from our staff. This education will allow you to better support your child and enhance and accelerate his/her progress.
On-Going – Evaluate Progress & Plan Next Steps
We consistently take data on your child’s progress towards all major goals. This data allows us to continuously and accurately evaluate your child’s advancement in every area. These evaluations prompt us to make appropriate adjustments to your child’s treatment plan to better ensure successful outcomes.
