The Uncommon Thread is Now Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy and Services through Telehealth.
Our top priority is the health and well-being of our families, employees, and community. Therefore, Telehealth services will be an alternative and effective way of delivering ABA while mitigating the exposure and spread of COVID-19. ABA through Telehealth is the next most evidence-based delivery system and is considered a best-practice in situations where in-person services are not possible. Since Telehealth is delivered through interactive telecommunications equipment (such as WebEx), all you would need is access to a computer, smartphone or tablet with broadband internet, audio and video display. Further instruction and assistance would be coordinated through our BCBA and/or Case Manager.
While current circumstances are challenging, our mission at TUT remains the same – ensuring the success and greatest outcome for children with ASD. We want the best for our families and to make navigating potentially difficult times at home as stress-free and productive as possible. TUT feels the continuation of ABA services via Telehealth is the best way to do just that. If you have questions or would like to discuss ABA via Telehealth services, please contact Maria Mazzone, Family Management Coordinator, at mmazzone@theuncommonthread.org or 908 604-4500 x 701.
Positive Development Regarding Telehealth for New Jersey Residents
Governor Phil Murphy recently announced actions to expand Telehealth services and related insurance coverage/benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic. These actions will better ensure the delivery and affordability (no cost sharing) of medically necessary ABA services and support for children and families when in-person services are not possible.
