“I have been a part of The Uncommon Thread staff for almost 4 years. In my time I have worked as a therapist under multiple different types of BCBAs across various center, in-home, and school district environments. It has been a pleasure to witness first hand how we impact our clients and their families in such a positive and progressive way. Now working as a BCBA, I enjoy being in a more leadership role that allows my personal and professional experiences to further improve the quality of living in others using ABA therapy to help our clients grow and learn”. ~ BCBA
“The Uncommon Thread is a not only a service provider but an advocate for their clients and their families. As an employee delivering at-home services they ensure we are equipped with as much learning materials, cleaning supplies, and BCBA support/supervision needed to address the individual needs of each case. Each family has a support team of professionals that often collaborate with schools, doctors, and any other providers that are relevant to their child’s care. I am proud to work for an organization that actively pursues compassion, excellence, and innovation within the field of ABA therapy”. ~ ABA In-Home Therapist
“I’ve been employed at the Uncommon Thread as a center-based BCBA since August 2020 and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work here. The Uncommon Thread is a client-centered AND well-organized not-for-profit company. As a BCBA , there are a large number of ongoing supports that have been implemented to allow for collaboration and continuing education opportunities. The two clinical directors provide support for BCBAs. Jen Skundrich, a clinical director, provides suggestions to client programs and training to administer the VBMAPPs. Ron Petrucelli offers work groups that focus on supervising RBTs and administering feedback to RBTs, a rarity in the field. All office staff are responsive and helpful. They provide a number of resources and provide immediate assistance. Melanie, the staff director, is always available to provide assistance and ensures bi-weekly meetings are scheduled to touch base regarding parent-involvement and RBT success. Another wonderful aspect of this company is that is continues to expand, which allows for professional growth and different experiences as a BCBA. TUT just introduced the BRIDGES program as a perfect addition to allow for children to transition from comprehensive ABA to a more preschool/school setting. Professionally, they added the role of Senior BCBAs with reduced caseload and the opportunity to provide support for other BCBAs in the building. The level of support and client-focused care found at TUT is unmatched in the field”. ~ BCBA
